Another appointment with the midwife today and everything bub-wise is fine and dandy. I just wish the rest of me was! Now on anti-biotics to get rid of a UTI and possible ear infection and taking cough medicine to battle my awful cough. Thankfully not Whooping Cough, got tested for that on Monday and got the all clear. Having lots of little naps now to try and get better.
Things have been moving along quickly in getting the house renovated in time for Bunny's arrival. I'm sitting here with the computer on a camp table, sitting in a directors chair in an otherwise very bare lounge room with a concrete floor. New floorboards arrived today and will be installed on Monday. Hopefully we'll be ready to move back in and redecorate by Wednesday.
Bunny's room was painted the other week, and has now been almost completely furnished. Bassinet is nearly done and will be the final touch in the room soon. I've even been hanging and folding all the little baby clothes. Any more has been put on hold until we have finished with the flooring, as both bedrooms have turned into storerooms for the time being! Have to give a big hand to Adam for all his hard work at shifting stuff, ripping up floors, painting and generally being an awesome guy. oxxo
I even installed the baby capsule into the car today after is finally got here from the USA. (Thanks Dad!!)
In other news, we start our Calmbirth classes on Sunday, looking forward to those! Also I had a wonderful surprise baby shower morning tea with my craft girls on Thursday. I was very late to the group and they were worried I wasn't going to show up! I walked into a room decorated with pink and blue balloons and a table full of yummo food and didn't even twig for a few minutes that it was for me!! hehehe. Was spoiled rotten with a big basket full of pressies, including some absolutely divine handmade things. My craft ladies are the bestest ever. :)

26 weeks down, 14 to go....
The really exciting thing now is...my belly moves when Bunny kicks!! Yup, you can see my belly wobble and ripple wherever he/she's kicking. Totally awesome. Soon we'll be playing Maltesers Football!

All seems to be going well & nothing major to report. Off for my GD test tomorrow which hopefully comes back negative. Midwives and scan results say that bubs is growing nicely and on schedule so I'd better get moving on getting the house ready. We still need to paint the house and put floorboards down before bubs arrives, and then there's the birth classes as well as finishing everything up at work! eek!!

He/She'll be a tap dancer!
Wow, I'm feeling kicks like mad right now. If I sit forward, kicks, Lie down, kicks, eat something, kicks. Either this little bubba is going to be a champion footballer, or a tap dancer extraordinaire! Working long hours and not sleeping much probably doesn't help. Working on the Victorian Floods right now which is interesting. Adam has been flying over them constantly too.
I've been having a bit of practice playing mum to 2 very young kittens. These little loves need feeding night and day, and come with me everywhere until they are old enough to fend for themselves, then they'll go up for adoption. I'll miss them but it will be nice to know I've helped them find a good home.
It's certainly helping me get used to sleepless nights too! Maybe it'll be a little easier when I don't have to go to work and can have a nanna nap when bubs is sleeping. Am I kidding myself?
Oh and we had an ultrasound which went great. Report back says that everything is fine and dandy and Bunny is growing well. Phew! Didn't find out the sex, but that leaves it to be a nice surprise when Bunny arrives. Also had a tour of Sunshine hospital and got to see the rooms we hope we don't have to use. It's not as bad as I had imagined, in fact the rooms were nicer than many private hospitals I've seen! So if we end up there, at least it won't be a strange experience. All the midwives are adorable too, and we got to meet some other mums to be going through the homebirth program. All of them surprisingly normal and un-hippy-like. I felt like I totally fit in, and Adam too!!

Such a wonderful sound!
Just a quick one. I went along to the Doctors today for an ultrasound referral, and ended up getting to listen to the heart beat! Yay!! It was really wonderful to hear. The little reassurances like bumps and a heartbeat make me feel like everything is going just fine.
We're booked in for an ultrasound at Werribee on the 4th of Jan. Can't wait to actually see the little one when it actually looks like a real baby and not just a flickering blob like we saw at 6 weeks.
Midwife appointment is on Friday, so it will be good to sit down and talk over things with her.

Starting to feel better
I'm now 17 weeks along, and things are starting to look up. I'm not sick nearly as often as I was, and it seems now to only be bad when it's hot and humid. Too bad we're in summer now! Thankfully the weather has been mild and I should be well over being sick by the time it gets really hot.
Had an adventure over the weekend, headed off to the Meredith Music Festival (I bought tickets before I was pregnant) for a couple of days of camping, good company and good music. Had a ball! Even though I couldn't be right up the front of the crowd like I usually am, I was lovely to watch and enjoy some fabulous artists like Neil Finn and Sally Seltmann perform. I was definately a piker and was in bed around midnight both nights, but it was cold, windy and rainy so it would have been yuck to stay out anyway. I certainly enjoyed listening to the Dirty Three and Little Red from the comfort of my tent.
Bunny got his/her first bit of festival merch, it was way too cute to pass up on -

I'm really starting to really show in the belly stakes now. Sheesh, If I'm this big already I hate to think how big I will be at the end!! I've barely put on any weight, but nothing fits me anymore. Maxi Dresses will be my best friend over summer I think :). Here's my first belly pic anyway...
Good news is, I'm starting to feel little flutters, not very often, but sometimes it feels like there's definately something bouncing away in there. How cute! That's all from me and Bunny now.

12 weeks along
Wow! It's been longer than I thought between posts here!

- Met my midwife, Susan Currie. She's really lovely and I'm looking forward to have her share our journey.
- Told nearly everyone I know (far too excited), and have had lots and lots of lovely comments.
- Been sick, tired and completely over it on many occasions. I hope that magical time when the sickness and tiredness just lifts comes really soon.
- Have been crazy busy with production and opening week for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels which is quite possibly the last show I do with Williamstown given I'm due when the next show is on and then I'll have moved away. :-(

Telling time
Hi gorgeous girls!! I thought it was about time to break the news. I'm far to excited to hold on to it any longer! That and if I didn't say something, someone else would have spilled the beans (mum and dad I'm looking at you!)
Also off to tell Adam's folks tonight, although they already suspect we're either announcing a baby or a wedding, and they're pretty sure it's not a wedding. hehe
I'm at 9 weeks now, and I haven't been ill in a few days which is awesome. Went to the GP for my checkup and all was fine and dandy. Asked about things that would prevent me from having a natural birth (or exclude me from the homebirth program). Nothing was showing at the moment as all my blood tests came back great, my blood pressure it at the low end of normal, and much to my delight she said I wasn't in the high risk catergory for Gestational Diabetes, which was my only real concern due to my weight and family history. Phew!
Bunny went to it's first rock concert over the weekend. I think it's going to grow up liking Powderfinger for some unknown reason :)
Still very tired but forcing myself to get plenty of sleep. A bit hard with work & band & theatre, but I'm getting there.
